Microbiology Laboratory Technician

About the role

Join Ophtapharm AG’s Microbiological QC team to support the manufacture of sterile ophthalmic medicines through hands‑on microbiological testing, media preparation and daily laboratory operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing, including bioburden, water and sterility testing.
• Prepare, monitor and maintain microbiological culture media for routine laboratory activities.
• Support Media Fill activities and other key processes within sterile manufacturing.
• Maintain accurate GMP‑compliant documentation and contribute to inspection readiness.
• Manage samples, materials and supplies to ensure smooth laboratory operations.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training as a biological, medical or comparable laboratory technician.
• Experience in microbiological quality control, preferably in a pharmaceutical or GMP‑regulated environment.
• Knowledge of GMP requirements and laboratory documentation practices.
• Very good German language skills.
