National Consultant – ESG Due Diligence Advisor

About the role

The National Consultant will lead the design and implementation of an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) due diligence system. Working closely with beneficiary enterprises and community groups, the consultant will ensure ESG readiness, compliance, and reporting across the project.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct ESG readiness assessments and produce detailed assessment reports.
• Implement corrective measures for identified gaps in ESG compliance.
• Develop profiling reports for beneficiary enterprises, mapping social enterprises and their suppliers to ESG requirements.
• Support engagement with community groups on all project orders.
• Collect baseline socio‑economic and environmental data for community groups in Kenya and deliver baseline assessment reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in ESG assessment, due diligence, or sustainability consulting.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret socio‑economic and environmental data.
• Excellent report writing and stakeholder communication skills.
