Onboard Finance Operations Specialist

About the role

Explora Journeys is seeking an Onboard Finance Operations Specialist to support efficient, accurate and compliant finance processes across its luxury cruise fleet. Based in Geneva, the role acts as the main liaison between shipboard finance teams and shore‑side stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational support and guidance to shipboard finance teams on procedures, policies and operational matters.
• Monitor execution of onboard finance processes, ensure compliance with company standards and resolve financial issues promptly.
• Support implementation and monitoring of financial controls, conduct risk reviews and coordinate corrective actions.
• Prepare operational reports, analyse key finance indicators and recommend improvements.
• Liaise with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Revenue, Hotel Operations, IT, Procurement and other functions to coordinate finance initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in finance, accounting, audit, revenue control, treasury or operational finance.
• Experience in cruise, hospitality, travel or multinational environments is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organisational skills with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
