Onsite IT Support Technician – Zurich

About the role

AVASO Technology is looking for an experienced Onsite IT Support Technician to join its Zurich team. You will provide both on‑site and remote desktop assistance, ensuring that end‑users receive fast and reliable technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑site and remote desktop support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals, and operating system deployments.
• Perform system audits, apply updates, and ensure security compliance.
• Manage and resolve support tickets, escalating when necessary.
• Provide end‑user training and create technical documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of desktop support or similar experience.
• Proficiency in English and German (B2 level).
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician.

Required skills

• Windows OS, macOS, Linux environments.
• Active Directory, group policies, and security management.
• Remote desktop tools and troubleshooting techniques.
• Networking protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
• MS Office Suite and other productivity software.
• Hardware diagnostics, repair, and replacement.
• System imaging and deployment tools (SCCM, MDT).
• ITIL incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Cloud applications: Microsoft 365, Google Workspace.
• IT security best practices.
