Onsite Laboratory Technician (m/f/d)

About the role

Avantor is seeking an Onsite Laboratory Technician to work at a leading pharmaceutical customer site in Basel. The role involves peptide synthesis, sample production and laboratory support in a GMP‑compliant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Produce peptides according to established procedures, ensuring compliance with quality, safety and GMP regulations.
• Prepare buffers, solutions and mobile phases, and support internal customers with media preparation.
• Perform routine inspections, calibrations and maintenance of laboratory equipment, acting as system owner for assigned instruments.
• Document synthesis processes, evaluate reports and communicate any deviations or issues to project stakeholders.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training as a Chemical or Synthesis Laboratory Technician, or a BSc/MSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy or a related field.
• Experience in chemical process development, peptide or synthetic chemistry.
• Very good English (written and spoken); German or French is a plus.
• Strong commitment to quality, safety and accurate documentation.
