Operations Manager – Marketplace & Admin (60‑100%)

About the role
We are looking for an Operations Manager to become the operational backbone of smartNsales, a fast‑moving B2B platform connecting FMCG brands with markets. Based at our Lucerne headquarters, you will oversee marketplace operations, finance, HR, IT and general administration across several entities.
Key responsibilities
- Manage marketplace operations: process retailer payouts via Stripe, support onboarding of new marketplace locations, provide first‑line field support and monitor platform activity for anomalies.
- Oversee finance and accounting: handle creditors and debtors, execute bank payments, process inter‑company invoices, support month‑end close and coordinate with external accounting firm.
- Lead HR & People administration: prepare contracts, work permits and social insurance, organise onboarding and off‑boarding logistics, maintain HR files and liaise with government agencies.
- Control IT & tools: manage software licences, onboard/offboard users, coordinate access management with the CTO and maintain tools such as Notion, Slack and ClickUp.
- General operations: run day‑to‑day office management at the Lucerne HQ and provide administrative support to the co‑founders.
Required profile
- Based in Central Switzerland, preferably in or near Lucerne.
- Fluent in German and English; French is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in operations, office management or a similar generalist role.
- Proactive, energetic and process‑oriented.
- Comfortable with Swiss HR, accounting and administrative frameworks.
- Enjoys a multi‑entity startup environment with high ownership.
