Operator Biotechnologist

About the role

Lonza is seeking Operator Biotechnologists to join its Visp site in Switzerland. You will work in a GMP‑regulated environment, supporting the production of sterile drug products and ensuring high‑quality output.

Key responsibilities

• Execute manufacturing activities in the Drug Product area following cGMP guidelines, ensuring proper batch execution and troubleshooting.
• Perform manual visual inspection of liquid and lyophilized vials to remove defective units and guarantee sterility.
• Provide frontline technical and procedural support to the manufacturing team.
• Prepare production documentation such as batch records and forms in a timely manner.
• Operate, set up, and clean production equipment and premises as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a GMP‑regulated environment, preferably sterile drug product manufacturing.
• Familiarity with GMP requirements, quality procedures, and SOP execution.
• Strong team orientation, collaborative mindset, and excellent communication skills.
• Structured, focused, well‑organized work approach with high motivation and proactivity.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including a two‑shift pattern.
