Outbound Logistics Team Leader (GIS Business)

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY is looking for an experienced Outbound Logistics Team Leader to coordinate and continuously improve outbound logistics for its GIS business. The role combines operational involvement with people leadership, ensuring products reach customers worldwide safely, efficiently and on time, working with colleagues across functions and external logistics partners.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements
• Coordinate and support daily outbound logistics operations for timely product delivery
• Guide, coach and support a team of logistics specialists
• Monitor transportation, warehousing and distribution activities and support solutions to operational challenges
• Contribute to continuous improvement of efficiency, service quality and logistics performance
• Partner with manufacturing, project management, procurement, customer service and external providers for smooth order fulfilment
• Manage carriers and logistics service providers, including performance monitoring and issue resolution
• Analyze logistics KPIs, prepare operational reports and identify improvement opportunities
• Ensure compliance with packaging regulations, customs requirements and company policies

Required profile

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field
• Strong experience in logistics, supply chain or transportation operations
• Experience coordinating or leading teams
• Experience managing outbound logistics in an international environment
• Fluency in English and German

• Experience with ERP systems, logistics management systems and reporting tools
• Problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
