Part‑Time Russian Language Teacher

About the role

The United Nations Office at Geneva seeks a part‑time Russian language teacher to deliver high‑quality courses for staff members. The position is contract‑based and supports the Centre for Learning and Multilingualism’s mission to promote multilingualism within the UN system.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Russian general and specialised language courses, both in‑person and online.
• Prepare lesson plans, develop and update learning materials in line with the LTP curriculum.
• Maintain and administer the CLM Moodle platform, including course setup, technical upkeep, and uploading post‑lesson content.
• Correct student assignments promptly, provide feedback and learning strategies.
• Administer, assess and grade evaluation tasks on schedule.
• Enter final evaluation results, attendance and enrolment data into the administrative platform in a timely manner.

Required profile

• Proven experience teaching Russian to adult learners, preferably in a professional or institutional setting.
• Ability to deliver instruction both face‑to‑face and via virtual platforms.
• Strong organisational skills to manage course materials, assessments and administrative records.

Required skills

• Moodle (CLM language learning platform) administration and technical maintenance.
