PCB Design Engineer (m/f/d)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated PCB Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative E‑Mobility solutions. You will be responsible for creating and optimizing printed circuit board layouts for new and existing products while ensuring compliance with all electrical, mechanical and thermal requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise PCB layouts for new and existing products.
• Create and maintain component libraries in Altium Enterprise.
• Evaluate, select and qualify electronic components based on performance, availability and cost.
• Conduct DFM and DFT reviews together with production and industrialisation teams.
• Prepare and release manufacturing documentation, including Gerber files, BOMs and assembly instructions.
• Support prototype builds, perform debugging and validation testing.
• Coordinate with PCB fabrication and assembly partners to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturability.
• Develop and implement PCB design guidelines, processes and best practices across the organisation.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics or a comparable technical discipline.
• Strong knowledge of analog, digital and mixed‑signal electronics and PCB design principles.
• Hands‑on experience with laboratory measurement equipment and low‑voltage testing.
• Experience with PLM and ERP systems, preferably Windchill and Infor.
• Excellent collaboration skills across hardware, mechanical, manufacturing and supplier interfaces.
• High attention to detail, structured working style and strong sense of ownership.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
