PE Teacher (Maternity Replacement)

About the role

La Côte International School Aubonne is seeking a qualified Physical Education teacher to cover a maternity leave from December 2026 to October 2027. You will deliver high‑quality PE lessons across the whole school and support a vibrant outdoor and ski programme.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging physical education lessons for early years, primary and secondary students.
• Coordinate and lead school ski days, residential trips, ski club and ski team activities.
• Organise and accompany primary and secondary winter and summer residential trips and sport tournaments.
• Contribute to the wider programme of trips, excursions and extracurricular activities.
• Promote health and safety for all assigned classes.
• Participate in professional development, staff meetings and training sessions.
• Act as a secondary school homeroom teacher on a daily basis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education with QTS status or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting.
• Proven experience teaching PE in early years and primary phases.
• Fluency in English; French language ability is desirable.
• Valid work permit and clear criminal record extracts.
• First‑aid qualification or willingness to obtain one.

Required skills

• Competent skier able to navigate intermediate to difficult terrain, including race pistes.
• First‑aid skills.
