Platform Manager – Product Lifecycle Management

About the role

The Manager, Platform Manager, PLM leads the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) technology platform for DePuy Synthes, supporting R&D and product development. The role ensures the platform is stable, secure, compliant and aligned with business and regulatory goals.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end PLM platform, defining strategy, roadmap and overseeing upgrades, integrations and continuous improvement.
• Partner with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to translate business needs into effective PLM solutions.
• Ensure global regulatory, quality, cybersecurity and data‑governance compliance across the platform.
• Manage vendor relationships, service delivery and budget for PLM technologies.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing technology team.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of progressive experience in IT or digital technology supporting R&D or product development.
• Strong background in regulated product development environments, including design controls and data traceability.
• Proven leadership and people‑management skills, with experience building inclusive, high‑performing teams.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities in a global, cross‑functional setting.

Required skills

• Hands‑on expertise with PLM platforms (configuration, integration, upgrades).
• Experience integrating PLM with ERP, QMS, CAD and manufacturing systems.
• Knowledge of cloud‑based PLM architectures and enterprise data‑governance practices.
• Vendor management, budgeting and SLA oversight for enterprise technology platforms.
