Platform Manager – Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

About the role

Johnson & Johnson’s DePuy Synthes division is seeking a senior leader to own and evolve its Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) technology platform. The role supports R&D, Quality, Regulatory and other functions to ensure compliant, efficient product development across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end ownership of the PLM platform, guaranteeing stable, secure and compliant operations.
• Define and execute the PLM strategy and roadmap in alignment with R&D, Quality and enterprise IT goals.
• Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to translate business needs into effective PLM solutions.
• Lead platform enhancements, system integrations, upgrades and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Manage vendor relationships, service delivery and budget for PLM technologies.
• Coach and develop a high‑performing technology team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 6‑8 years of progressive experience supporting R&D or product development with PLM platforms.
• Strong understanding of regulated product development, design controls and data traceability.
• Proven leadership experience, including people management and vendor oversight.
• Excellent communication skills in a global, cross‑functional environment.

Required skills

• Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform administration, configuration and integration.
• Integration experience with ERP, QMS, CAD and manufacturing systems.
• Knowledge of cloud‑based PLM architectures and enterprise data governance.
• Understanding of cybersecurity, regulatory compliance and change management.
