Platform Security Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a senior Platform Security Engineer to strengthen cloud security, platform reliability, and secure engineering practices for a fully remote European team. The role focuses on building secure, reliable infrastructure and improving the developer experience across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement secure‑by‑default workflows for production operations, ensuring auditable access controls.
• Strengthen cloud security practices including IAM, SSO/OIDC, secrets management, and least‑privilege access.
• Secure and operate production Kubernetes environments with workload security and access restrictions.
• Integrate security checks and automated scanning into CI/CD pipelines.
• Improve infrastructure‑as‑code practices, developer tooling, and self‑service guardrails.
• Manage cloud networking and edge protection (VPC, DNS, TLS, load balancing, CDN, WAF).
• Define security priorities, incident response workflows, threat modeling, and post‑incident reviews.
• Design, test, and maintain backup, restoration, and disaster‑recovery procedures.

Required profile

• Hands‑on platform engineering experience with proven production security impact.
• Strong cloud security fundamentals (IAM, SSO/OIDC, secrets management, least‑privilege).
• Solid experience operating Kubernetes in production.
• Practical knowledge of cloud networking, edge technologies, and reliability engineering (SLOs, on‑call, incident handling).
• Ability to write and review code to diagnose and resolve problems directly.
• Fluent English and effective remote collaboration skills.
