- Partner with Engineering and other technical teams to ensure new capabilities are operationally ready, and mentor and coordinate junior engineers and contractors.
Required profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, computational science or a related field, or equivalent experience; typically 4-7 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree.
- Experience supporting infrastructure and platforms across cloud and on-premises environments, with strong AWS experience and a strong understanding of Linux, networking, storage, compute, distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience providing technical leadership for complex production platforms or infrastructure services.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering, infrastructure, security, support and scientific teams.
- Preferred: experience with HPC or large-scale shared compute environments (e.g., Slurm, AWS ParallelCluster) and with scientific applications, research computing, GPU or AI/ML workloads.
Required skills
- Software development or scripting in Python, Go or Bash, plus infrastructure-as-code, configuration management and image automation tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible and Packer.
