PMO Lead

About the role

Lonza, a global life sciences company, is looking for a PMO Lead who will establish and lead site-level portfolio governance. The role ensures that local initiatives and global projects affecting the site are selected, prioritized and executed according to defined standards, and provides transparent portfolio information to support leadership decisions, capacity planning and resource allocation. It works closely with the Site Leadership Team, project sponsors, project managers, site functions and the Head of INB Ops PMO.

Key responsibilities

• Lead site portfolio governance, including project intake, validation, prioritization, approval and periodic portfolio reviews
• Maintain an integrated site portfolio covering local initiatives and global projects requiring site resources
• Provide accurate, timely visibility of portfolio status, milestones, financials, resource demand, risks, issues, dependencies and expected benefits
• Facilitate prioritization and scenario planning with the Site Leadership Team, and coordinate resource demand and capacity planning across site functions
• Ensure projects follow project and portfolio management standards, governance requirements, stage gates and reporting routines
• Manage cross-project and cross-functional dependencies, risks and issues, and coach project sponsors and project managers
• Support continuous improvement of PMO processes, tools, templates, data quality and reporting

Required profile

• Education in Business, Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline
• Advanced experience in Biologics GMP manufacturing with operational experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, get results and promote collaboration across departments
• Proficiency in English and German
• Ability to work flexibly in a changing environment, manage multiple priorities and influence without direct authority
