Postdoc in Polymer Design for Vat Photopolymerization

About the role

A full-time (100%) postdoctoral position is offered at the Laboratory for the Chemistry of Materials and Manufacturing (ALCHEMY) at EPFL Neuchâtel. The lab develops accessible chemistries and processing strategies to fabricate advanced functional materials and devices. Candidates should have experience developing (macro)monomers for microstructured polymers or novel photopolymerization/photocrosslinking strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for your own research
• Mentor colleagues on chemical synthesis and characterization
• Work closely with other lab members and international collaborators
• Design and run experiments, analyze and interpret results
• Write scientific articles for peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences

Required profile

• PhD in chemistry or polymer science; materials science is possible with the listed experience
• Experience with small-molecule synthesis and characterization
• Experience with polymer characterization
• At least 2 peer-reviewed scientific articles
• Excellent communication skills in English
