Principal Engineer – Device & Packaging Technical Launch Integrator

About the role

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Principal Engineer to lead device and packaging technical integration for new product launches. You will work within the Local Launch team of the MSAT Biotherapeutics Platform, providing end‑to‑end technical leadership from design transfer through commercial launch.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the MSAT Device & Packaging technical lead for new product introductions and technology transfer projects.
• Lead global and local cross‑functional teams, partnering with R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Engineering, Procurement and external suppliers.
• Drive design transfer, industrialization, scale‑up, qualification and validation of device assembly and packaging processes at commercial scale.
• Manage launch readiness, project planning, risk mitigation and communication with stakeholders.
• Deliver comprehensive technical documentation packages for health‑authority submissions.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in device, packaging, manufacturing, technology transfer or project management within pharma, combination‑product or medical‑device industry.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and multifunctional global teams.
• Strong understanding of device assembly, secondary packaging, labeling/artwork and associated manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and technical leadership skills.
