Principal Product Manager – Strategic Account Interactions (Security)

About the role

Elastic is seeking a Principal Product Manager to serve as the primary product voice for its most strategic enterprise security customers. You will own the pipeline of enhancement requests, translate customer pain into product direction, and influence Elastic’s security roadmap at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Own and operate a structured enhancement‑request pipeline across multiple strategic accounts, ensuring requests move forward rather than stall.
• Translate customer requirements into shipped products, focusing on underlying pain points and synthesising input from many accounts into a coherent roadmap.
• Identify patterns across accounts, shape formal design partnerships, and feed validated customer insights back into core product roadmaps.
• Act as the primary product voice in meetings with senior stakeholders (CISO, CTO, VP of Security Operations), delivering roadmap updates and managing expectations.
• Prioritise requests using frameworks such as RICE, weighted scoring and opportunity sizing, balancing data‑driven decisions with sound judgment.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, sales, customer success and legal teams to support deal cycles, RFP responses and security questionnaires.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of product management experience, at least 4 years in B2B enterprise software, with a proven record of revenue‑impacting product ownership.
• Deep security domain knowledge (SIEM, SOAR, XDR or related platforms) gained as a product manager or security practitioner (SOC analyst, detection engineer, security architect).
• Demonstrated ability to run a structured enhancement‑request pipeline across several strategic accounts simultaneously.
• Executive presence and comfort presenting to C‑suite and VP‑level stakeholders, delivering difficult news while preserving relationships.
