Principal Production Designer, Print & Packaging

About the role

We are seeking a meticulous, technically sharp Production Designer to join our packaging team. In this remote, Europe‑based position you will bridge creative vision and production reality, turning packaging and print concepts into flawless, press‑ready files for our U.S. print partners.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare clean, technically accurate, press‑ready files for packaging and print, applying dielines, managing layers, and converting Figma layouts.
• Ensure all production files meet vendor specifications, color standards, and substrate requirements, and act as the final quality check before print.
• Own file organization, version control, and maintain a clear file management system for distributed teams.
• Create and maintain production templates, dieline guides, and reference materials, and manage the rollout of a new brand font across packaging assets.
• Collaborate with graphic, structural, industrial, marketing, ops, and supply‑chain teams across time zones, providing proactive communication and problem‑solving.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in print and packaging production design.
• Independent, meticulous, and trusted by the team, with a strong sense of ownership over production files.
• Comfortable with flexible scheduling, asynchronous communication, and remote work across time zones.

Required skills

• Expert‑level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
• Strong working knowledge of Figma and ability to translate digital designs into print‑ready assets.
• Deep understanding of print production, packaging materials, color management, dielines, and U.S. print standards.
• Experience managing system updates such as fonts and templates across large file sets.
