Process Engineer - Methods-Time Measurement (REFA & MTM)

About the role

Liebherr Machines Bulle SA, a Swiss manufacturer of combustion engines and hydraulic components, is looking for a Process Engineer (m/f/x) to establish timing standards using REFA and MTM methods. The role works closely with shop floor teams to analyse assembly and machining processes, set realistic standard times and propose improvements that shorten production cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Establish timing standards (REFA and MTM)
• Analyse assembly and machining processes on the shop floor
• Set realistic target standard times
• Propose improvements to reduce production cycle times
• Carry out multi-point analyses to identify waste and propose concrete improvements
• Map the value stream (VSM) with shop floor teams
• Train and support operators and managers in adopting the new standards and methods
• Document processes to ensure operational continuity and knowledge transfer

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or production engineering
• At least 2 years of experience in time studies (such as REFA methods) and implementing continuous improvement projects
• Fluent French and very good English (B2)
• Rigorous, methodical and analytical, with autonomy and a practical, hands-on approach

Required skills

• Lean Manufacturing principles and tools: 5S, VSM, Kaizen, Standard Work, DMAIC
• Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Data analysis software such as Power BI or Minitab
• Additional Lean Management or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) training is an advantage
