Process Maintenance Technician

About the role

Reporting to the Process Maintenance Manager, the Process Maintenance Technician contributes to the maintenance, regulatory compliance, reliability and availability of the site's biotech equipment. The role covers preventive, corrective and improvement maintenance of USP, DSP, buffer and media systems, within EHS rules and cGMP requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive, corrective and improvement maintenance on biotech equipment, respecting EHS rules and cGMP requirements.
• Diagnose failures and restore equipment to service, coordinating with other disciplines such as electrical, automation, utilities and metrology when needed.
• Contribute to maintenance planning and supervise external contractors during their maintenance work.
• Take part in improvement projects and continuous improvement rituals.
• Update technical documentation and procedures with administrative support.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Support and Methods, Metrology, Maintenance Utilities and Projects.

Required profile

• Certificate of vocational training (CFC) or equivalent.
• At least three years of maintenance experience in biotech, pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
• Availability for duty roster, with a maximum intervention time of 45 minutes.
• Experience in controlled environments, including pharmaceutical clean rooms and explosive atmospheres.
• Oral and written French; technical English is an asset.

Required skills

• Mechanical or electromechanical skills.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, electricity and automation is an advantage.
• Microsoft Office; knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
