Procurement & Pricing Manager

About the role

Atlantic Gate is expanding its Geneva team and seeks an experienced Procurement & Pricing Manager to lead sea‑freight procurement and pricing. You will be responsible for securing competitive rates, capacity, and margin while ensuring reliable service across our international network.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement carrier‑specific procurement and pricing strategies for each trade lane.
• Lead negotiations with shipping lines, co‑loaders and partners to obtain competitive rates and priority capacity.
• Maintain strong carrier relationships and act as escalation point for rate, space and service issues.
• Oversee pricing data consolidation, validation and governance across local, regional and network sources.
• Support customer tenders, spot quotations and strategic bids with margin‑protective solutions.
• Provide regular market updates, trend analysis and forecasts on rates, capacity, blank sailings and port congestion.
• Benchmark pricing and service levels against market conditions and competitors.
• Monitor win/loss feedback, quote response times, margin evolution and carrier performance.
• Drive continuous improvement of procurement processes, pricing tools and reporting standards.
• Manage, coach and develop the procurement and pricing team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sea‑freight procurement, carrier management or ocean product management; freight forwarding experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of ocean freight dynamics, carrier networks and tender management.
• Proven negotiation skills and commercial judgement to protect margins while supporting sales growth.
• Data‑driven, detail‑oriented mindset with ability to translate market information into clear pricing guidance.
