Procurement Specialist – Indirect Materials & Services

About the role

As a member of the Indirect Purchasing team at VAT Group, you will support Category Management and internal stakeholders to secure efficient procurement of services and IT‑related needs. The position focuses on quality, cost, delivery performance and excellent internal customer service, playing a business‑critical role in daily operations and IDMS savings targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead RFQs, manage quotation processes and support price clarifications.
• Assist negotiations in collaboration with Category Management.
• Create, manage and track purchase orders for services and IT categories.
• Maintain and strengthen supplier relationships and assess potential new suppliers.
• Maintain accurate article and supplier master data in the ERP system.
• Take ownership of a defined operational procurement scope and contribute to process improvements across the Source‑to‑Pay cycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement or related field (practical experience also valued).
• Several years of experience in operational procurement, preferably in services and/or IT.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Analytical, solution‑driven and proactive working style.
• Fluent English; good German skills strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Strong ERP skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics / D365.
