Product Quality Engineer

About the role

VAT Group is looking for a Product Quality Engineer to join its team in Haag, Switzerland. You will support product management by defining quality‑relevant requirements for both new and existing vacuum valve products.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and process customer complaints.
• Develop quality plans for innovation and relocation projects, monitoring in‑process checks, sample inspections, traceability and documentation.
• Execute D‑FMEA and support P‑FMEA activities.
• Assist with change requests and conduct internal and external audits.
• Deliver quality training and drive continuous process improvement.
• Support product management during customer visits and audits.

Required profile

• Completed education as a quality specialist or quality manager.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical and/or mechanical engineering.
• Several years of experience in quality management, customer complaint handling and advanced quality planning.
• Strong knowledge of quality tools such as FMEA, Ishikawa, 5‑Why, Fishbone diagram and SPC.
• Systematic, methodical and solution‑oriented work approach with high independence.
• Very good written and spoken German and English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
