Product Technical Support Engineer - Stirred Mills

About the role

The Product Technical Support Engineer is responsible for providing expert technical support on Metso stirred‑mill technologies (HIGmill, VTM, SMD). The role focuses on improving equipment reliability, availability and performance at customer sites worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical support for customers and internal stakeholders on stirred‑mill equipment, including troubleshooting, performance assessments and maintenance guidance.
• Conduct site visits, commissioning activities and investigations to resolve technical issues and identify improvement opportunities.
• Analyse operational and process data to evaluate equipment performance, drive optimisation and support continuous‑improvement projects.
• Collaborate with product engineering, service teams and suppliers to develop and implement technical solutions.
• Provide field feedback to engineering, maintain product data in the PLM environment and support internal technical projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Process, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
• Minimum five years of experience in mining, minerals processing or cement industry.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret operational data.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑oriented approach.
• Willingness to travel internationally (≈20 %).

• Process control systems.
• Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools.
• Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel.
• Finite‑element (FE) analysis knowledge (advantage).
