Production Mechanic Apprenticeship (EFZ) 2027

About the role

Bell, a Swiss food brand, is recruiting for a three-year EFZ apprenticeship as a production mechanic at its site in Zell, Lucerne, where poultry is processed and a wide range of products are manufactured. The apprenticeship starts on 1 August 2027 and is full-time. You will learn how individual components become functioning machines, how to solve technical problems and how to keep equipment running, working in the workshop alongside production lines in a team guided by experienced specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Service, repair and maintain modern production facilities
• Manufacture mechanical components and spare parts from raw material to finished workpiece
• Use tools and machines and learn machining processes
• Assemble sub-assemblies and plant components
• Diagnose technical faults and restore systems to operation
• Work to technical drawings, measure, test and inspect workpieces
• Support the technical team on projects and technical improvements
• Learn health and safety, hygiene and environmental protection

Required profile

• Completed primary school, preferably middle to upper years
• Passion for technology, mechanics and modern machinery
• Enjoyment of tinkering and manual work
• Precise, meticulous and reliable approach; curiosity and willingness to learn
• Interest in modern food production

Required skills

• Technical understanding and good spatial awareness
• Good maths skills and logical thinking
