Production Operator – Biotech Support Operations

About the role

You will join the Biologics Manufacturing Science and Operations department, supporting drug substance bioprocess activities. The position is based on‑site in Lucerne and involves hands‑on work in both upstream and downstream solution supply areas.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine operator tasks in the Weigh & Dispense and Solution Supply areas while strictly following GMP and GDocP requirements.
• Execute sampling according to approved plans, SOPs and batch records.
• Support equipment setup, line clearance, assembly/disassembly of single‑use and stainless‑steel systems.
• Carry out equipment cleaning, washer and autoclave cycles, and ensure manufacturing room readiness.
• Assist with calibration, routine maintenance and material staging, transfers, inspection and inventory checks.
• Complete GMP documentation accurately (batch records, logbooks, electronic systems) and report deviations or safety observations.
• Participate in audits, inspections and internal walkthroughs as needed.

Required profile

• Technical or scientific vocational training (e.g., Biotechnology, Chemistry, Lab Technician).
• Minimum 3 years of GMP manufacturing experience, preferably in biotech/pharma.
• Strong understanding of GDP and ALCOA+ principles.
• High attention to detail, compliance mindset and ability to work in cleanroom environments.
• Fluent in German and English.
