Production Operator – GMP Manufacturing

About the role

Roche is seeking a shift‑based Production Operator to join its Basel Drug Substance Manufacturing site. You will work in a highly automated environment that produces large‑ and small‑molecule APIs and antibody products under strict cGMP conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Execute manufacturing processes in full compliance with GMP guidelines.
• Document all work steps accurately in the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
• Operate, monitor, and adjust automated production equipment.
• Develop and follow equipment Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Troubleshoot equipment disturbances within your responsibility area.
• Participate in routine maintenance and upkeep of machinery and devices.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training, preferably as a chemist or pharmaceutical technologist.
• Strong understanding of GMP principles.
• Experience with large‑scale automated production equipment.
• High awareness of quality and safety standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good written and spoken German skills.
