Production Scheduler (Ops Scheduler)

About the role

As part of the Manufacturing Support Team, the Production Scheduler performs holistic operations planning for mid-scale operations, including upstream and downstream production, taking into account safety, quality standards and on-time, full delivery. The role covers the coordination of operational activities, maintenance planning, customer and audit visits, and plant changes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop an integrated plan coordinating all operational activities, considering process, facility and resource requirements
• Plan equipment and facility maintenance, customer and audit visits, and coordinate plant changes and qualification activities
• Collaborate with Supply Planning, Bioprocess engineers, Production shift leads, Manufacturing Science and Technology, Engineering, EMR and Lonza Services
• Contribute to the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on supply planning
• Model capacity, including facility throughput improvements, and proactively anticipate supply bottlenecks
• Improve planning accuracy through process and system optimisation
• Author and review GMP-relevant documents and SOPs, and prepare and review quality records such as change controls
• Drive performance through dashboards, Hoshin boards and other reporting tools

Required profile

• Several years (more than 3 years in total) of experience in supply planning or project planning for pharmaceuticals, in a production environment
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in supply chain or biotechnology, or relevant work experience in a biotechnology production environment
• Fluent English; proficiency in German is highly desirable
• Strong ability to coordinate and collaborate with multiple departments
