Project Assistant - Programme Implementation, Marketing and Communications

About the role

The European Space Deep-tech Innovation Centre (ESDI), a joint initiative of the European Space Agency and Switzerland, is looking for a Project Assistant for its programme implementation, marketing and communications work. The position is based at the Swiss deep-tech innovation campus Park Innovaare, next to the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI), and is project-based with a full-time commitment of 80-100%. The contract is initially limited to one year, with the option of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Phi-Lab Programme Managers in the implementation and coordination of their programmes
• Independently organise workshops, conferences and outreach activities
• Develop and implement marketing and communication activities for a primarily scientific and technical audience
• Create information and communication materials for online and offline channels
• Build and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders

Required profile

• Educational background or further training in marketing and communications, project or programme management, law, finance or a related field
• Practical experience in at least one of these areas
• Very good command of written and spoken English
• Structured, independent and proactive approach to work
• An interest in space technology and innovation is an advantage

Required skills

• Very good command of MS Office
• Experience with SharePoint, MS Teams and AI tools is an advantage
