Project Engineer

About the role

The Project Engineer will develop concepts, advise customers on technical decisions and lead the detailed engineering of medium‑sized projects. The role includes securing funding, coordinating internal and external resources, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to functional specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute small to medium investment projects that directly impact production and business results.
• Perform process‑engineering calculations, plant optimisations and feasibility studies for new or modified plants.
• Prepare cost estimates, schedules and functional specifications.
• Lead production adjustments and support product launches.
• Develop and evaluate technical solutions, weighing advantages and disadvantages.
• Procure and organise internal or external resources required for timely project execution.

Required profile

• 3–10 years of experience in a GMP‑regulated environment.
• Technical degree in mechanical engineering, process technology, bio‑ or chemical engineering.
• Strong communication skills in English and German.
• Highly independent, structured and flexible working style.
• Leadership ability within a matrix organisation.
• Good understanding of business and financial processes.
