Project Manager (80-100% FTE)

About the role

Lonza is seeking a Project Manager to lead strategic improvement initiatives at its Visp site in Switzerland. This office‑first position offers up to 20% remote work and provides relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Identify critical issues across the organization and lead analysis, design, and implementation of improvements.
• Prioritize short‑, medium‑ and long‑term improvements with senior stakeholders and align with customer needs.
• Establish governance, reporting and delivery structures for projects and drive strategic change management.
• Lead a team of subject‑matter experts, ensure alignment with other local programs, and provide ongoing reporting and escalations.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering, Science or Business.
• Fluent in English and excellent German.
• Solid experience in project management within a GMP environment (Biotech/Pharma/Chemical).
• Proven track record delivering projects in complex, multi‑stakeholder settings.

Required skills

• PMP or Prince2 certification (or equivalent).
• Lean Six Sigma qualification or continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Strong knowledge of IT applications and key business processes.
• Analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
