Project Manager – Building Infrastructure, HVAC & Plumbing

About the role

The Project Manager Facility will plan, coordinate and deliver new construction, renovation and infrastructure projects at VAT's Haag site. The role ensures safe, on‑time, on‑budget delivery while supporting the development of the plant’s building and technical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate new construction and renovation projects, including site management, cost planning, budgeting and project controlling.
• Design and advance HVAC, sanitation and related building‑services projects in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external consultants.
• Prepare conceptual designs, support building‑permit applications and oversee tendering and contract award processes.
• Maintain construction schedules, align activities with ongoing site operations and coordinate multidisciplinary disciplines (electrical, automation, cleanroom, fire protection).
• Oversee construction execution, ensure compliance with quality, budget and schedule, manage defect resolution and handover to end users.

Required profile

• Technical education in Installation Engineering, HVAC Planning, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable discipline.
• Several years of experience in building services, construction, infrastructure or project‑management environments.
• Strong analytical, conceptual thinking and negotiation skills with a results‑oriented approach.
• Fluency in German and English (written and spoken).
