Project Manager Engineering

About the role

The Project Manager, Engineering will lead engineering projects that support manufacturing operations, product development and continuous‑improvement initiatives for DePuy Synthes, a Johnson & Johnson orthopaedics business.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, schedule, budget and risk mitigation plans and drive projects from initiation to closure.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and external partners.
• Maintain detailed project plans, timelines and status reports for leadership.
• Ensure compliance with quality systems, FDA, ISO and internal regulatory requirements.
• Manage change‑control processes and capture lessons learned for future projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5–8 years of experience managing engineering projects in a regulated, medical‑device environment.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Project Management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools.
• Risk management, budgeting and scheduling.
• Knowledge of FDA, ISO quality and regulatory standards.
• Change‑control and capital‑project execution.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
