Project Manager – FPSO Projects

About the role

As a Project Manager at SBM Offshore you will be accountable for the design, construction, installation and start‑up of FPSO units, ensuring delivery within scope, budget and schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and delivery of FPSO projects from conception through commissioning and operation.
• Develop project plans, schedules and budgets, and allocate resources to meet objectives.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction and operations teams to ensure integration.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, environmental guidelines and company policies.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, including clients, contractors and regulatory bodies.
• Provide status reports with performance metrics, financial updates and risk assessments to senior management.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management or related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Significant experience managing FPSO projects or similarly complex, multi‑stakeholder projects.
• Deep understanding of FPSO design, construction and operation.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies.
• Technical knowledge of FPSO design and construction processes.
