Project Manager GIS High Voltage (80-100%)

About the role

Join Hitachi Energy’s High Voltage Product group as a Project Manager for Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) projects. Based in Zürich‑Oerlikon, you will lead international, end‑to‑end projects, collaborating with teams in Switzerland, India and the USA while enjoying flexible working options.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex GIS projects from sales hand‑over through to project closure.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as the primary contact for international customers, conducting meetings and factory acceptance tests.
• Identify, assess and manage project risks, while pursuing improvement opportunities.
• Monitor project progress, resources and financial performance.
• Handle change, claim and risk management and report financials to the controlling team.
• Contribute to process improvements and support strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in an industrial environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Proven experience leading customer meetings and presentations.
• Strong understanding of risk management, financial reporting and budget control.
• Professional certifications are highly valued.
• Fluent in German or French; English is mandatory.
