Project Manager – Medical Device Development

About the role

SHL Medical is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the end‑to‑end execution of medical device projects. You will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards while coordinating cross‑functional teams and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives and milestones in collaboration with sponsors and internal managers.
• Assemble and lead a multidisciplinary project team, allocating resources and ensuring task performance.
• Monitor project performance, identify improvement areas and adjust plans as needed.
• Conduct risk management, escalating issues early to minimize impact.
• Manage changes to scope, schedule and budget, communicating impacts to all stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project schedules, work plans and coordinate internal and external resources.
• Track budget execution against approved orders and ensure timely delivery of deliverables.
• Organise regular project meetings to review status, resolve issues and align on technical solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex projects in a regulated, manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to lead cross‑functional teams and communicate with customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Familiarity with medical device development processes and regulatory requirements.
