Projects Operator – Commodity Trading

About the role

The Projects Operator will manage the end‑to‑end supply chain for an international commodity trading business based in Geneva. You will coordinate import and export logistics, work with shipping lines, port agents and internal stakeholders, and ensure smooth delivery of containerised cargo.

Key responsibilities

• Manage maritime and road transport operations for import/export shipments.
• Coordinate containerised flows and guarantee timely delivery.
• Negotiate freight rates with shipping companies and port agents.
• Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers, clients, agents and logistics partners.
• Ensure accurate documentation and operational follow‑up.
• Contribute to the optimisation of supply‑chain processes.

Required profile

• 2–5+ years of experience in trading operations, shipping or logistics, preferably in commodity trading.
• Proven experience in freight negotiation and international transport operations.
• Strong exposure to maritime container logistics.
• Comfortable working with international stakeholders.
• English at C1 level (mandatory); Spanish or Italian are assets.
