Mandarin Oriental Palace Luzern is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead the procurement function for its luxury hotel. The role ensures timely, cost‑effective acquisition of goods and services while upholding the brand’s high standards of quality and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse proposals, selecting suppliers that meet company standards and expectations.
• Negotiate cost‑effective purchases in line with MOHG guidelines and quality specifications.
• Review product and service proposals for compliance, suggesting alternatives when beneficial.
• Monitor market conditions and vendor histories to ensure reliable supply and optimal pricing.
• Standardise commonly used items to reduce variation and achieve bulk‑purchase savings.
• Research new products and technologies to lower procurement costs and improve quality.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and analyse purchase patterns to maximise inventory value.
• Prepare purchasing documentation and approve purchase orders before final review.
