Purchasing Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Purchasing Specialist to join our Supply Chain team in Lausanne. You will ensure that all materials needed for manufacturing, repairs and product delivery are available on time, while supporting new product introductions and continuous improvement of our procurement processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain continuous availability of production, repair and spare‑part materials by monitoring inventory levels and generating replenishment proposals in Odoo.
• Anticipate potential shortages and coordinate mitigation actions with Planning, Manufacturing and Quality teams.
• Create, issue and track purchase orders in Odoo, overseeing the process from order creation to receipt.
• Build and maintain strong day‑to‑day relationships with suppliers, monitor delivery performance and resolve operational issues.
• Support supplier qualification, transitions and performance improvement initiatives.
• Implement MRP calculations and maintain procurement parameters and master data in the ERP system.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Manufacturing, Stocks, Quality, Engineering and Finance to align supply priorities.

Required profile

• Relevant vocational training (CFC) or a Bachelor’s degree, or proven experience in purchasing/planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a results‑oriented approach.
• Fluent in English (minimum B2); French language skills are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Odoo ERP for purchase order management and inventory planning.
