QC Glassware Cleaning Validation Intern

About the role

Join Haleon's Quality Control team at the Nyon site as a QC Glassware Cleaning Validation Intern. You will evaluate and improve the glassware cleaning process to ensure compliance with GMP standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review current glassware cleaning procedures against GMP requirements and industry best practices.
• Perform risk assessments to identify worst‑case cleaning scenarios and define validation strategies.
• Support design and execution of cleaning validation studies, including sampling, testing and data analysis.
• Evaluate cleaning performance using visual cleanliness, conductivity and TOC measurements.
• Prepare validation documentation, summarize results and present recommendations to QC and Quality teams.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a university program in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Chemical Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
• Interest in GMP environments, validation activities and Quality Control laboratory operations.
• Analytical mindset, comfortable working with experimental data and scientific problem‑solving.
• Effective communication in English and ability to document work clearly.
• Team‑oriented with ownership of assigned projects.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GMP requirements for cleaning validation.
• Experience with analytical techniques such as visual inspection, conductivity measurement and Total Organic Carbon (TOC) analysis.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and design validation studies.
