QC Laboratory Analyst – Physical Analytics

About the role

Join Lonza’s QC Physical Analytics team in a GMP‑regulated laboratory where you will perform physico‑chemical testing to ensure product quality and patient safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform, evaluate, and document physico‑chemical analyses in compliance with cGMP and internal procedures.
• Maintain and calibrate designated laboratory equipment, ensuring qualification and proper documentation.
• Support troubleshooting, deviation investigations, and implement corrective actions.
• Contribute to method development, process optimisation, and train new team members.
• Participate in the on‑call duty rota as scheduled.

Required profile

• Completed apprenticeship or degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field.
• Initial to several years of QC experience in a GMP‑regulated environment.
• Strong quality mindset with understanding of GMP and compliance requirements.
• Structured, independent, solution‑oriented working style.
• Good command of English and basic German skills.

• Karl Fischer titration.
• UV spectroscopy for protein concentration determination.
• Osmolality and conductivity measurements.
• Equipment calibration and qualification procedures.
