QC Microbiology Senior Technician (Life Sciences)

About the role

Join a dynamic biopharma environment in Switzerland as a QC Microbiology Senior Technician. You will work in a GMP‑regulated laboratory, performing critical microbiological tests that support the safety and quality of pharmaceutical products.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine microbiological analyses such as bioburden, endotoxin testing, and microbial identification.
• Review and manage analytical results in LIMS, ensuring accurate data entry and traceability.
• Support growth promotion testing, method suitability studies, and laboratory qualification activities.
• Handle sample reception, preparation, and testing while adhering to quality and EHS standards.
• Participate in investigations of deviations, OOS results, and laboratory events, contributing to CAPA implementation.
• Update and improve laboratory procedures and documentation.
• Collaborate with QC, QA, Manufacturing, and cross‑functional teams.
• Assist with inspection and audit readiness as a technical contributor.

Required profile

• Technician degree or equivalent in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of QC Microbiology experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech setting.
• Strong knowledge of GMP guidelines and microbiological laboratory practices.
• Proactive problem‑solver with high attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Fluent in French and/or English.
