QC Project Leader (80-100%)

About the role

Lonza is seeking a proactive QC Project Leader to manage technology transfers, ensure GMP compliance and drive continuous improvement in its Visp, Switzerland site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead QC projects from initiation to completion, defining scope, timelines, resources and reporting progress.
• Perform and coordinate chemical and physical testing of raw materials, in‑process samples and finished products using HPLC, GC, UV/Vis, KF and FTIR.
• Develop, validate and transfer chromatographic methods in line with ICH guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Manage change controls, deviations, OOS/OOT investigations and CAPA implementation.
• Act as primary QC contact for customer projects and coordinate with external contract laboratories.

Required profile

• PhD or MSc/BSc in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong expertise in analytical chemistry and hands‑on experience with chromatographic techniques.
• Knowledge of GMP/cGMP requirements and regulatory standards.
• Excellent problem‑solving, organizational and project‑management skills.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
