Quality Control Analyst – Temporary (6 months) in Basel

About the role

We are looking for a Quality Control Analyst to join our Basel team on a temporary six‑month contract, with the possibility of extension. The role supports analytical development and testing for pharmaceutical raw materials, excipients, APIs and intermediates in a cGMP environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, optimise, qualify and validate analytical methods for raw materials, excipients, APIs and intermediates in compliance with cGMP.
• Perform independent analytical testing to support pharmaceutical development and manufacturing.
• Prepare GMP‑related documentation such as test methods, validation protocols, reports, laboratory procedures and SOPs.
• Investigate analytical deviations, out‑of‑specification results and other laboratory investigations, providing troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in analytical development or instrumental analysis within a cGMP‑regulated pharmaceutical environment.
• Reliable, team‑oriented and able to work independently in a structured manner.
• Fluent in German and technical English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with HPLC and GC analytical techniques.
• Proficiency in standard computer applications (MS Office) and laboratory software.
