Quality Engineer

About the role

Mercury, the European leader in construction solutions, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join its Zurich team. You will support the Project Quality Manager and drive a Zero‑Defects culture across complex engineering and construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and implement the “Right First Time, Zero Defects” approach and Mercury QMS.
• Deploy BIM360 and BIM360 Field, delivering training to staff and subcontractors.
• Analyse non‑conformances, snags and issues, and help design corrective actions.
• Prepare and review ITPs, raise non‑conformances, and monitor subcontractor quality performance.
• Participate in site inspections, witness points, and hold points as defined in ITPs.
• Maintain registers (ITP, benchmark, calibration) and ensure document‑control compliance.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.).
• Proven experience leading quality teams on large construction projects.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and international standards.
• Excellent time‑management, communication and report‑writing skills.

Required skills

• MS Office Suite.
• EDMS tools such as Autodesk and Aconex.
• Enterprise software (e.g., SAP).
• BIM360 and BIM360 Field.
• Knowledge of International Technical Standards and Codes of Practice.
