Quality Lead – Data Center Projects

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a senior Quality Lead to support Data Centre projects in Zurich. You will act as the main quality liaison between the client, contractors and consultants, ensuring all quality requirements are met throughout construction and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate closely with the client’s representative to fulfil project quality requirements.
• Plan and allocate QC resources for on‑site and off‑site inspections, witness commissioning, and perform audits as requested.
• Review and approve Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and checklists, and conduct site walks with clients or consultants.
• Generate weekly quality reports, lead QAQC meetings with contractors and internal teams, and ensure all quality documentation is uploaded to the client’s system.
• Recruit and evaluate qualified QC personnel, and validate as‑built drawings.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years construction experience, with at least 5 years in QC or commissioning.
• 5 years experience in Data Centre facility maintenance, operation or construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is beneficial.
• Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Project, Word).
• Experience using online document‑management applications.
• Knowledge of construction scheduling, ITPs, QA/QC processes and commissioning procedures.
