R&D Engineer – Low Voltage Product Development

About the role

We are looking for an experienced R&D Engineer to lead innovation in low‑voltage products for smart building applications. You will be responsible for turning concepts into reliable, high‑performance solutions ready for industrial production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise miniature circuit breakers.
• Lead and coordinate cross‑functional project teams.
• Analyse technical challenges and deliver sustainable, innovative solutions.
• Evaluate concepts from both technical and commercial perspectives.
• Collaborate with global teams, suppliers, and manufacturing sites.
• Ensure design for manufacturing and assembly (DfM/DfA) compliance.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in product development.
• Strong expertise in mechanical and electrical systems for low‑voltage products.
• Experience designing plastic and metal components.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Proven project‑management experience.
• Proficient in CAD tools (preferably SolidWorks) and MS Office.
• Strong communication skills in English (German is a plus).
