Regular Data Engineer

About the role

This role sits within the UBS operation platform and focuses on building governed data pipelines and reusable data products. It also supports the development of portfolio health insights and works closely with analytics and AI use cases.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver governed data pipelines and reusable data products for the UBS operation platform.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, security and performance, and enable reliable integration with analytics and AI use cases across approved platforms.
• Work in the development team to support the development of portfolio health insights.
• Produce clear and commented code.
• Produce clear and comprehensive documentation.

Required profile

• 5-8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, ideally in a large corporate environment.
• Proven track record of delivering complex data applications on tight timelines.
• Strong stakeholder interaction and communication skills.
• Understanding of performance implications when making design decisions, and excellent end-to-end SDLC process understanding.

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of SQL and data modelling/data processing.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Developing and maintaining data pipelines with Databricks.
• Visualisation tools such as PowerBI.
• Git, JIRA and GitLab.
